The Sacred Dimension of Chocolate

4.12 – Vernissage

We are proud to host an exhibition developed by the Weiss chocolate factory in partnership with students from the Master’s program in Object Design at the Saint-Étienne Higher School of Art and Design. They approached chocolate as a precious resource to be preserved and reimagined in response to the scarcity of cocoa. Their projects highlight a meaningful, ethically engaged chocolate infused with sacred, mythical, and ritual elements while rethinking traditional uses. The designs also emphasize local heritage and craftsmanship, celebrating Weiss as a living heritage company and drawing inspiration from Saint-Étienne’s traditional tools and the raw materials of chocolate, such as cocoa beans and pods. The exhibition was conceived for the 2025 Saint-Étienne International Design Biennale.

Monday-Friday: 16:00-19:30 hrs

Enter the fragrant, sunlit world of Andrea Camilleri’s Sicily, where every meal tells a story and every recipe carries a memory. In this special cooking class, Chef Marisa Bentivegna invites you to step into the pages of Commissario Montalbano’s adventures and discover the dishes that so often tempted the famous inspector away from his cases. Together, you’ll prepare a full menu of traditional Sicilian recipes — simple, generous, and full of character — inspired by the beloved foods described in Camilleri’s novels. At the end of the class, participants will gather around the table to share the meal they’ve created — as friends, as cooks, as fellow travellers through Camilleri’s Sicily.
